Types of Medicare plans
Medicare Advantage (Part C)
Medicare Advantage plans cover services included in original Medicare Parts A and B and often include prescription drug coverage. These plans may offer an all-in-one option for medical and drug coverage.

Medicare Supplement Insurance (Medigap)
Medicare Supplement Insurance helps cover certain out-of-pocket costs not paid by original Medicare, such as copays, coinsurance, and deductibles. With this option, most people enroll in:
- A Medicare Supplement Insurance plan for medical expenses, and
- A separate prescription drug plan for medications.
